ROYAL CASINO PALACE
James
Bond Moments are hidden in every background of Agent Marley's adventure...
Some of them are obvious, while others are more subtle.
Below is a quick guide to the first 6 scenes.
Scene
01: Head Hunting

As
our agents rendezvous outside the Casino, three statues can be seen
in the background. One of the statues has been decapitated, in true
Oddjob fashion from Goldfinger. The other statues look
down in horror. |
Scene
02: Drinking, Not Drunk

When
Agent Marley orders his food, bottles of Gin and Vodka can be seen
in the background. Dexter and Marley are drinking beer, but there's
a stray Vodka Martini on the counter, which is certainly what James
Bond would have ordered. |
Scene
03: Face Cards

Right
beside the dogs playing poker, is a man smoking a cigar that bears
a certain likeness to Ian Flemming, creator of James Bond.
(There's even a nervous looking space pilot playing game of chance
with a notorious bounty hunter)
The main table features the villainous types that are reminiscent
of Ernst Starvo Blofeld, Xenia Onatopp, and Francisco Scaramanga (who's
betting his Golden Gun). Last but certainly not least,
is a figure with a bowler hat who could possibly explain the broken
statues outside the Casino. |
Scene
04: Feeling Lucky

When
Dexter and Pete first see Hilly Hummer, there are seashells hanging
on the wall... Bond girl Honey Ryder was looking for shells in Dr.
No when she first met James Bond.
Also in the background, a a man that looks suspiciously like Q is
having tremendous luck at the slot machine. |
Scene
05: Bathroom Break

Players
of Goldeneye 007 will surely recognize this scene, which
was based on the bathroom of the Facility level...
Unrelated to the actual scene, is an amorous couple sharing a romantic
moment in the far left stall. |
Scene
06: Psycho Circus

When
Hilly Hummer finally catches up to Agent Marley, a "Golden
Eye" can be spotted on one of the slot machines.
There's also an elephant playing the slots... In Diamonds
are Forever, and elephant pulls the lever and becomes a
winner... In this scene, the elephant loses and angrily tips over
the machine. |
