South Park
Intelligent Life Out There

South Park has lost a cast member... Issac Hayes, the voice of Chef has left the show after being offended by the show's content...

The dude was on SOUTH PARK, a show which has gained notoriety for relentlessly poking fun at touchy subjects. Throughout the show's history, they've made fun of everything from religion to politics, to genocide, and even AIDS.

South Park was even the first animated show to air a cartoon version of Mohammed... Nobody noticed, and hundreds of Islamic extremists had to wait years before having another excuse to torch an embassy. (Allah Bless Denmark!)

But apparently, when the South Park team decided to make fun of Scientology (A freakish, cult-like religion of which Issac Hayes is a member), the voice of Chef decided he'd had enough, and walked out.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone haven't let this little setback hinder their progress... In the season's first episode, they recycled old voice recordings from Hayes, and mixed them to generate new dialogue. Chef dies during the episode, and a funeral is held where he is remembered as a good friend who was simply turned crazy by a clan of evil lunatics.

Mr. Tom Cruise has also jumped in on the Scientology struggle, allegedly using a few of his connections to blackmail Comedy Central, forcing them not to air a Scientology episode. Naturally, Mr. Cruise denies this claim. The controversial episode which mocks Scientology features Tom Cruise being "trapped in the closet".

I don't know whether California makes you stupid, or whether dumb people are simply drawn there... Either way, there are many celebrities who are members of the Church of Scientology.

The group believes that planet Earth was populated by a more advanced race over 75 million years ago. If this is true, then the Earth's initial inhabitants were lucky that their intergalactic spacecraft wasn't intercepted by a Tyrannosaurus Rex. This fad religion offers further proof that if you have lots of money, you don't need to be very smart.
