F-Zero GX: Ending Videos

Written by Hutz

Master Class is by far the most challenging Grand Prix difficulty, but you get rewarded for completing it repeatedly. Each time you complete any Cup in Master Class, you earn a short video clip starring the pilot you chose that you can replay in the Pilot Profiles screen. The videos, for the most part, aren't serious in any respect; they're simply a quick way for you to have a cheap laugh. Some videos are more entertaining than others, so here's a reference list of each pilot's video.

Master Class Reward: Video Clips
Video clip descriptions for each character

Deathborn
Deathborn appears onscreen in a large city, taller than any of the buildings. He starts crushing F-Zero machines as he sees them, one by one. After a few moments of destruction, we see that this is actually just a movie being played in a theater. Deathborn, in the front row of seats, gets up and cheers as the rest of the audience leaves.

Mighty Gazelle
After seeing Mighty Gazelle in his full stature, some of his parts start to flip, spin, and transform. One by one, Gazelle's parts start to change and he becomes a whole new being. Once the transformation is fully complete, you see that Mighty Gazelle has turned into... a cheap motorcycle. He slowly wheels away and beeps like a toy car.

Jody Summers
In this somewhat odd video, Jody dances in front of a backdrop that features a few planets. She twirls a stream of stars around in an artistic manner to her acoustic guitar theme. She ends her performance by throwing the stars into the air. They all fall around her, except for one that hits her on the head.

Dr. Stewart
This video looks like the result of a hardcore acid trip. Dr. Stewart throws a few flower petals around, then floats in the air as the background transforms. Flying through the air, Stewart looks like he's quite tranquil... until a bird flies by, when he drops like a rock.

Baba
You get to see Baba on his training routine in this video. First you see him leap and soar through the air, then the camera zooms out and you can see he only jumped a small puddle. Next, you see as Baba attempts to climb to the top of a cliff... then he slips, and you see the cliff was only as high as he is. Finally, you see Baba balancing a giant boulder on his finger. Yet again, it is only an illusion... a crane is actually supporting the rock. To cool off for the day, Baba hits the shower. The camera zooms behind the shower curtain as it opens up, and Baba screams and covers himself.

Samurai Goroh
This is the first of several videos where pilots seem to be racing in invisible machines, and it's somewhat confusing at first. Goroh and an opponent fly down the street neck-and-neck, then Goroh takes the edge; he unsheathes his sword and brings the blade inches from his opponent, who quickly spins and loses control. Goroh suddenly hits the brakes to let Silver Neelson cross the street. He quickly hits the accelerator as Neelson's in front of the car, and he too spins in circles as Goroh takes off. Silver gets his revenge, though; he jumps up and smacks Goroh on the head with his cane.

Pico
This is by far the coolest Master video. Pico starts off crouched down holding a rifle, then two targets pop up from the ground. He quickly turns around and pops a bullet in each of their heads. As six more targets jump up, Pico swaps his rifle for two handguns. He crosses his arms and takes off the two enemy targets on either side, missing the friendly targets. He takes out the next three targets with grace, again avoiding the friendly target, then another friendly target pops up. He quickly turns around and caps it in the head. As the camera zooms out, you see that the bullet only hit above the target's head; as Pico walks away, you see the bullet also hit the forehead of a Black Shadow target.

Captain Falcon
The video starts off focused on a baby in a carriage, then it zooms out and you can see the carriage is (for some reason...) directly on train tracks where a train is about to pass. Mrs. Arrow is alarmed to see the track lights flashing and ringing, then Captain Falcon stops by in his Blue Falcon. He jumps up, cartwheels over the tracks, grabs the baby, and leaps up over the train right as it passes. He ends his graceful landing by splitting his pants. Mrs. Arrow cradles her baby, then stifles a laugh as she sees Falcon try to cover the back of his pants. He leans over and salutes in a bizarre attempt to keep his dignity.

Octoman
The first of several videos where a pilot is in a posing contest. Octoman shows off his stuff, and the rating bar starts to rise. As he poses more and more, though, the bar starts to lower. The audience starts to boo him, and makes Octoman extremely mad. He grabs random audience members and shakes them around.

Mr. EAD
The video opens up with a shot of Mr. EAD's butt wiggling back and forth. The camera pulls back and you can see Mr. EAD mixing a bowl of batter. After doing a fruity pose, he goes to a table and starts decorating a cake with frosting and strawberries. Once he's done with his masterpiece, he holds it up for the camera. The camera then pans to the side as you see about ten other Mr. EADs doing the same thing. One by one, you see each Mr. EAD taking bites of their cakes until they're all finished.

James McCloud
James is on a karaoke dance floor, and dances around while singing his theme song. While his dance number is extremely wince-inducing, the audience seems to love him. As he attempts a backflip, though, he falls flat on his ass. The audience then boos him as he takes a bow.

Billy
The video starts with a shot of Billy running ferociously through the jungle. After he and a smaller monkey swing on some vines, the little monkey spots a cluster of bananas high up on a tree. Billy climbs the tree to get them, but the tree falls over from his weight. The monkey is ecstatic at the bundle of food in front of him, but Billy's head hit the ground and he's seeing stars.

Kate Alen
This video showcases the drop-dead-sexy Kate Alen as she models various outfits. First she walks onto the runway with her regular orange attire, then you see various other Kates with different outfits. They all meet at the end of the runway, then they walk back offstage. As the 'original' Kate leaves, she turns around and gives the camera a sexy look.

Zoda
Zoda gets the final preparations ready for his ultimate experiment and flips a switch. Suddenly, you can see a giant robot come to life, ready to do Zoda's bidding. As it walks, though, it trips on an uneven part of the floor. It comes crashing down on Zoda, who leans on his elbow and taps the floor in annoyance.

Jack Levin
This video shows how popular Jack was as a pop star. After crawling through a huge audience in front of his stage, he goes backstage and zips up his costume. He appears onstage in front of hundreds of screaming fans and does a dance number, which ends with a still of him flying ahead of an explosion.

Bio Rex
After a long day, Rex returns to his living quarters, a small cave, and rips a few meaty bones that are dangling from the ceiling. He tosses them over a fire and waits for them to cook. He drools as he stares at the scrumptious meal, but as he takes a big, juicy bite, he shifts back to reality - the tasty meat was actually a woolly mammoth's ass. The video ends with Bio Rex dashing away from the angered beast.

The Skull
The Skull is laying down, then a bolt of lightning zaps him to life. He gets up, and another bolt hits him, taking off his arm. He picks up his arm and pops it back in, but yet another bolt knocks his head off. The video ends with him crawling on the ground and feeling around for his head.

Antonio Guster
Guster walks into a laundromat, takes off his clothes, and tosses them into a machine. He reads a newspaper and does various other things as he waits for his clothes, then finally the cycle is done. He opens the washer to discover that his clothes are all missing. He looks around and spots a pink dress that fell out of a lady's basket. He puts the dress on and quietly sneaks out of the building.

Beastman
Beastman starts off on top of a building, then he runs down it and leaps off the side. He lands on a rooftop and jumps across to another building. As he reaches the next building, though, he suddenly stops short and plummets to the ground. A crowd of bystanders gawk at the hole in the ground where Beastman emerges and rubs his head.

Leon
Leon and an opponent are racing in invisible machines down a busy downtown area at night. As Leon gets hit by his opponent, he jumps up and starts riding an invisible board of some kind (possibly a hoverboard). Even though he's keeping up with his rival, he suddenly stops and gives up. He turns around and picks a kitten up out of a box as it starts meowing.
