Chapter 7
The F-Zero Grand Prix
After narrowly escaping death, Captain Falcon is ready for another F-Zero Grand Prix. With 29 other contestants, including Black Shadow, this Grand Prix will be one for the books!

Recommended performance setting: 70%-90% Max Speed
The "Grand Prix" is only one race, so you must finish in first place to win the mission. The track is simple but littered with obstacles. You have very little control over your standing on the first lap, as you can't use your booster until after you've completed a lap. Once you can start boosting, you're ready to scream ahead. After the first curve, make sure to stay off the slippery section of track, as it will make you move slower and lose precious time. Use a boost off that platform and right over the entire lava area, and you should be near the lead machines.
At this point, it can be helpful to destroy the Black Bull and/or the Blood Hawk if you're confident with side attacks. Use a boost or two after the next two turns and hit the Dash Zone. Don't be surprised if other racers fly right by you around that Dash Zone, though, as the Blue Falcon only has a C-rating for Boost. After the last sharp corner, boost, hit the Dash Zone, boost again, refill in the Pit Zone, and boost once more, keeping to the center of the track so you'll avoid the land mines. Even though you may be passed on the final straightaway, you'll quickly gain position as you go through the next lap.
On the final lap, don't hold back at the final straightaway. While steering down the center of the track, keep hitting the Boost button. With some luck, you'll zip right past the remaining racers and steal first place.

Chapter 8
Secrets of the Champion Belt
After winning the F-Zero Champion Belt, Captain Falcon is confronted by Deathborn and challenged to a race in the underworld. Deathborn has the Champion Belt of the underworld, and when the two belts become one, great power can be harnessed. The winner of the race will decide who can wield the power, so Falcon cannot lose!

Recommended performance setting: 70%-90% Max Speed
This track is quite easy to memorize. The two difficult parts are avoiding land mines and making the few hairpin turns without crashing. Since there are numerous Pit Zones throughout the track, it's a good idea to run over several land mines on the first lap, paving the way for you to boost without fear in the later laps.
Since Pit Zones are common, you can boost through most of the race as long as you refill your life. The hairpins are simple when you have the right strategy; drift around them by holding L AND R while turning, then quickly slide (L OR R, depending on turning direction) to cut into the corner. The center part of the track is charred black, so keeping an eye on the blackness can help you decide how sharp you need to cut into the hairpin turns.
On the final lap, it's imperative that you keep up to Deathborn and make the last few turns without crashing. If you succeed at those things, you can boost right past him and steal the race.

Chapter 9
Finale: Enter The Creators
After defeating Deathborn, Captain Falcon discovers something about the Champion Belt. The Creators of the world are inside, and Deathborn was their greatest creation. Since Falcon defeated him, the Creators plan to take his soul and use it as their own creation. However, Falcon has too much pride to simply submit to their power. He's out to prove that Captain Falcon is the best racer in the galaxy, and competes against the Creators on a mystical track.
The goal here is to simply get a better time than the Staff Ghost. While the later difficulties require you to use boost, the main difficulty here is simply surviving the rail-less track. The first few turns are simple, but are somewhat hidden by the glamour of the track. The trick is to watch the edge of the track for bends, and trust in that information to make the turn.
The hard (and repetitive...) part of this track comes in the two hairpin turns. On the first one, stay to the outside and use R to cut in as you turn. Don't over-steer or underestimate the turn, as one tiny miscalculation can send you to the beginning of the track. The second hairpin is actually right at the end of a really long, shallow spiral. Simply stay on the inside of the track, and as the turn starts forcing you outside, use L to cut in as you turn and make it safely to the straightaway.
After those two turns, the track tries to cheaply fool you. Stay to the left after the last hairpin, or you'll fall. Make sure to steer sharply right after the first bump, as the track is hidden behind the mound until it's too late to make corrections. Stay parallel to the ground, as you'll keep the most speed that way. There are then three consecutive "serial gaps" followed by 90 degree turns. Simply use L or R to cut in each turn and land safely on the track beneath, again staying parallel to the track on the trip down. If you're using boost (necessary on Hard and Very Hard), make sure to hit the Pit Zone squarely to refill your life as much as possible. Repeat two more laps, and you've finished Story Mode! Enjoy the ending musical number!
