007 Nightfire - Multiplayer Weapon Sets

Written by dDG 007

You have quite a large arsenal of weapons at your disposal in Nightfire, especially in multiplayer mode. Listed below are the weapon sets, the weapons they contain, and some strategic advice from yours truly on how to win in combat with the weapons you've chosen.

Normal
This is the most balanced weapon set in multiplayer. It contains a variety of weapons that should satisfy any player. There are quite a few ways to come out on top with this set, depending on what your personal weapon choice is. You could camp with a sniper rifle, charge with an assault rifle, or (for the reckless players among us) you could just pick up a shotgun and blast away anything that moves.

Weapons:
P2K, SG5, Auto 12, Tactical Sniper, Sentinel

Pistols
Ah yes...a weapon set for the cowboy at heart. The best weapon to have in this set is probably the Golden Gun, but don't think that you'll be invincible just because you have it... A few shots from a Raptor .50 could
easily take you down and end your killing spree.

Weapons:
PP7, P2K, K-40, Raptor .50, Golden Gun

Automatic
This weapon set contains guns that can quickly dish out alot of pain. Accuracy isn't as crucial here when you can spit out 50 rounds as fast as you can push the fire button. One way to get an advantage however, is to find yourself a helpful little drone, the Phoenix Ronin. Set one of these briefcase weapons down in a good area and you'll rack up kills without putting yourself in danger.

Weapons:
Storm, M9K, SG5, Auto 12, Ronin

Sniping
And now for something completely different. This set requires a steady hand and a wide open space to fight in. Depending on your accuracy, you could be very successful in this set or you could fail miserably. While most of these weapons are extremely deadly, the one gun that packs a huge punch is the Phoenix Samurai. Its second function can easily take down a large group of enemies.

Weapons:
Raptor Magnum, Delta Repeater, Tactical Sniper, Covert Sniper, Samurai

Explosives 1
Don't have the accuracy required to use a sniper rifle? Why bother when you have this set. It contains an assortment of explosive weapons. From your common grenade launcher to high-tech, fly-by-wire missile launchers. The one gun you'll want to get as soon as you can is the Sentinel. Get your timing right and you'll be unstoppable. Watch your back, though - You'll be defenseless to attack while flying the guiding the missiles.

Weapons:
AIMS-20, Militek MLG, Sentinel, Scorpion, Tripbomb

Explosive 2
This group, unlike the first explosives set, involves hand held explosives only. One of my favorite ways to disable an enemy is to get them with a flash-bang grenade. Then while they can't see, unleash your attack.

Weapons: Frag Grenade, Stun Grenade, Remote Mines, Tripbomb, Satchel Charge

MI6 Operative
These weapons are owned and used by the British Secret Service. My favorite tactic to use while playing with this set involves the use of both Remote Mines and the Sniper Rifle. Plant Remote Mines in locations where you know the enemy will be going then, when they go there, detonate. For occasions when you are able to get a clean shot, use the sniper rifle for a quick kill.

Weapons: PP7, Delta Repeater, Covert Sniper, Remote Mine, Golden Gun.

Phoenix Weapons
These armaments are used by your enemy, the Phoenix corporation. Unlike the MI-6 set, this set contains a variety of different weapons ranging from pistols to sniper rifles. The two weapons you're going to want to make sure you get are the AIMS-20 and the Phoenix Samurai, which both deal out massive amounts of damage.

Weapons: K-40, AIMS-20, Tactical Sniper, Samurai, Ronin

State of the Art
Yeah... Now we're getting to the good stuff. These are the guns with all the bells and whistles. You can't go wrong with your choice in this set. Each weapon is as deadly as the next. The only advice I can give you is to watch out for the various kinds of mines. One wrong move and it could be over for you.

Weapons: AIMS-20, Sentinel, Samurai, Tripbomb, Satchel Charge

Cloak and Dagger
This group is designed to do one thing - Surprise the hell out of your enemy. This weapon set is designed around being silent and precise rather than just blasting away anything that moves. Camping and sniping is
the way to go here. This is another instance of where I use my "Remote Mine/Sniper Rifle" approach.

Weapons:
Delta Repeater, MK9, SG5, Covert Sniper, Remote Mine

Random
There's no telling what you might get with this set, since all weapon slots are random. The only advice I can offer is to be prepared. Search the board over and look for the best available gun to have the advantage.

Personal Favorite...
My favorite weapon set to use in multiplayer is the Sniper set. I find it to be the most challenging of all of the weapon groups. One slip up and you give your enemy his or her chance at a shot and with this set, one shot is all it takes.
