Forsaken Fortress 2
Written by Hutz
To
enter this castle again, use Bombs while on your boat to pull out
the mighty cannon and blast the cheap wooden door away with a few
blasts. Upon returning to this tightly-guarded structure, you'll be
greeted by a dark and ominous minion. See the Boss
Strategies section for tips on fighting it. |
You
get this dungeon's main present at this point. The gigantic Skull
Hammer looks unwieldly, but you're strong enough to hold it up. Smashing
things is fun, but it takes a second to wind up the attack. After
grabbing the gift, you'll be ambushed by weird little devils with
pitchforks. Defeat the ones that get in your way and head through
the large wooden door. |
To your left you'll see some large, spiked stakes.
Since you can't climb them, grab your hammer and smash them into the floor.
Be careful of the Moblins you fight here; they tend to throw their flaming
lanterns at you before attacking. Continue forward and be happy that you
no longer have to quietly sneak around.
Walk around the next room until you get to the
black hole. This hole is home of a giant hand that will drop you further
back in the dungeon. Whip out your sword and prepare to use a vertical strike
combo when the hand grabs you. Continue through the next, fairly linear,
part.
In the main bedroom area is a giant eye that shoots lasers at you. Stay
near the beds to avoid being nailed and grab the treasure on the bunks.
Climb to the highest bed and pick off the creature on the platform across
from you with the Bow. Fly across the gap using the Deku Leaf and use the
Skull Hammer to mash the stakes out of your way.
Outside
is a path to another door. Enter it and you'll reach a spot that was
tricky the first time you were here. With your new sword, though,
it's now a breeze. Eliminate the Moblins and climb the staircase to
the left. |
Ah, outside again. Run quickly up the stairs
and to the left, unless you feel like attacking an endless drove of miniature
devils. You can sidle across the narrow platform, or point the wind Southeast
and fly across with the Deku Leaf. Sidling is dangerous because of the noisy
annoyances that are on your tail.
|
 You're
near the end. Before the wooden door is a large peg. Bash it with
the Skull Hammer and enter the prison cell yet again. After being
reunited with Aryll and another friend, the mysterious bird that
captured Aryll wants to rumble. The Boss
Strategies page provides the method for defeating it.
