Hyrule Castle

Written by Hutz

After you've defeated the boss of Tower of the Gods, you'll find yourself in the middle of a tower with no way out. Whip out your Grappling Hook and latch on to the bell above you from atop the middle platform. As you swing back and forth, the bell will ring, revealing a portal near the entrance of the dungeon. Through this portal is a mysterious castle.

You'll seem out of place in this deserted area that's monochrome (black and white), plus you'll see some enemies frozen in place. Freaky. Head forward towards the Triforce emblem on the floor and you'll receive a message from your boat telling you to solve a puzzle.

First, use the C-Stick to pull the camera as high as possible. A good vantage point helps here. There are three triangular blocks that you must move over the Triforce emblem on the floor. You can push or pull any side of the blocks, but remember that the pivot point is on the corner on the other half of the side you're pushing/pulling. You should be able to get the blocks in their positions with little fuss.

With the blocks in place, the Triforce emblem starts glowing (the first real color in this area!) and a path is opened. Go to where the giant Link statue was and enter the cellar below.

Within this chamber is the blade that has the power to repel evil: the legendary Master Sword! As you pull it out of its pedestal, the castle gains a splash of color, and the enemies, frozen before, now come to life. Be proud, as you've earned a powerful weapon! One you'll need to use a lot to escape alive...

Your only problem now is the horde of enemies you must defeat before you're allowed to leave the castle. Make sure to put your Grappling Hook and Boomerang on the item buttons, as you'll use them a lot. Before defeating the armored knights and Moblins, use the Grappling Hook to grab Skull Necklaces and Knight's Crests from them. In order to steal from the knights, though, you have to take off their helmets with a Parry attack. The Crests are important for learning a valuable sword maneuver later on in the game... Use the Boomerang to stun some enemies before launching full force into an attack.

Scour the castle for minions and hack and slash them into oblivion. After every last one of them has been defeated, you'll see the exit open up. Head on out back to your boat, and you'll receive information about your next destination: Forsaken Fortress.
