Triforce Shards

Written by Hutz

Before you can enter ancient Hyrule again, you must find the eight shards of the Triforce of Courage so you can prove yourself as the Hero. However, all of the shards are hidden deep beneath the sea...

Luckily, scattered throughout the Great Sea are Triforce Charts that can lead you to the shards. After completing Tower of the Gods, you should have received an expensive C.O.D parcel from Tingle: the IN-credible Chart. It shows you where all of the Triforce Charts are. What follows is a description of where and how to attain each chart:

Triforce Chart 1 - Islet of Steel:
The entrance of this island is blocked by a gun boat. Shoot it down and enter the islet with your boat. On the blue logo on the floor, play Wind's Requiem to reveal a treasure chest with the chart in it.

Triforce Chart 2 - Private Oasis:
Before attempting to collect this chart, you'll need the Cabana Deed. Check out SG's Windfall Island page to find out how to get your hands on it. Once you do, head over to the Private Oasis and show the deed to the door. Inside the cabana are a few pots with Rupees in them (break them open with the Grappling Hook) and a mini-puzzle. Directly above you is a switch that can be latched onto with the Grappling Hook. The switch reveals a basement behind the fireplace.
This nifty little map that DetErest created shows how to get through the maze. The letters show where each of the parts of the basement are connected, so A goes to A, B goes to B, etc. The different pegs that can be hit with the Skull Hammer raise bars at certain locations, allowing you to proceed. Follow the map to Triforce Chart 2, which you can reveal by playing the Wind's Requiem on the blue patch on the floor.

Triforce Chart 3 - Bird's Peak Rock:
Stay near the island to the southeast and bait a seagull with a Hyoi Pear (found at a Beedle's Shop Ship near you). With the seagull, fly high above the island and crash into each of the crystal switches, making sure to press A as fast as you can to flap so the enemy birds don't reach you. When you've hit all the switches, a door on the southeast island will open. Inside is a blue patch on the floor. Play the Wind's Requiem there to reveal Triforce Chart 3.

Triforce Chart 4 - Diamond Steppe Island:
Use the Hookshot near the western part of the island on a high tree to access the island. Keep Hookshotting higher and higher until you reach a pit. In the pit is a small maze of warp pots. Here's the order of where to go: jump in the first one, then the one to the right of where you came from, then the one to the far right (beside another one), the one on the left of the pair of pots. Your goal is now reachable: the Ghost Ship Chart. Use it to find the Ghost Ship wherever it is (at night only) on your Sea Chart. Look for it and sail right into the ship, and you'll warp inside...
Inside are a few enemies, among them being ghosts. Use your Mirror Shield to reflect the beam of light near the wall to destroy them. When all the enemies are done for, a ladder will fall and allow you to collect the Triforce Chart. Before doing so, though, collect every item in the ship, for once you get the chart you'll automatically be transported outside.

Triforce Chart 5 - Needle Rock Isle:
Among several boats armed with cannons is one that's gold. Gun it down with Bombs and use the Grappling Hook to snag the treasure directly beneath it.

Triforce Chart 6 - Outset Island:
The western part of the island has a tree sitting atop a high cliff. Use the Hookshot on the tree to access the cliff, upon which a hole, covered by a liftable Headstone, can be found. Inside the hole is the Savage Dungeon, which has a lot of enemies to fight in several different themed battles.
This takes quite a while to complete, so go to the bathroom, have a drink, and stock your bottles with recovery items. Remember that between each dungeon theme, there are pots with a few recovery items, as well as several Rupees. Do not enter the light pillar at these spots, as it'll take you out of the dungeon instead of into its depths. At the end of the third theme (Tower of the Gods) is a blue symbol on the ground. Play the Wind's Requiem on this spot to reveal Triforce Chart 6.

Triforce Chart 7 - Stone Watcher Island:
Climb atop the island and, at the top, remove the Headstone that's covering up a pit. Jump into the mini-dungeon, and enter each of the five other doors to destroy all the enemies within the rooms. When they're eliminated, armoured knights will appear in the center room. Take them out, and the way forward will be opened. Play the Wind's Requiem to reveal your prize: Triforce Chart 7.

Triforce Chart 8 - Overlook Island:
First, to make things easier, eliminate the ships circling the island. Go to the northwest of the island and use the Hookshot on the tree nearest you (the waves need to rise first). Hookshot your way across the island, and fall into the pit at the end. You have entered another labyrinth full of enemies. Enter each door and dispose of anything in the rooms, and defeat the final enemies in the center room. The way to Triforce Chart is now revealed; simply play the Wind's Requiem on the blue patch on the floor to make the treasure chest appear.

Upon opening the charts, you'll probably noticed that they're currently unreadable. Head on over to Tingle Island, and make sure you have 398 Rupees per chart. Tingle will decipher each of the charts as long as you pay him 398 Rupees for each one. After shelling out 3184 Rupees, the easy part comes: hauling the Triforce Shards out of the ocean. Your IN-credible Chart shows where each of the Triforce Shards are located. Once you've fished up each and every Triforce Shard, head back to Tower of the Gods to return to ancient Hyrule.

Siberian Guard's Charts page also documents how to get the Triforce Charts, as well as where to find each shard.
